Ding dong ding dong, ding dong ding dong! It took me a bit of time this year but digging into the holidays was a real treat. I had just the right about of parties and gatherings and just the right amount of holiday cheer. This year I put up white lights for the very first time. I must say I missed my colored lights but the whites were very festive indeed. I put wreaths in my windows and kept my candles going all month long. I perfected my pear gingerbread recipe and made a few batches of a wonderful apricot almond bread. I rang 2010 out and 2011 in with dear, dear friends and even had time to clean out my studio making room for new inspiration. Happy New Year one and all! —MAV
