January started really quickly for me. After the holiday break I was off to the races! When it came time to print the Card Society cards I found myself in need of some inspiration. There were some tragic things happening in our world and my head felt far too crowded. I knew I wanted to do words but had not figured them out until I was standing there on press. I kept thinking of the moment I was sitting in Austin, Texas just as the year started and it was calm, warm and wonderful. I needed that same feeling once again. The next thing I knew I was printing "peace" and "love" and just when I thought the sentiment was not quite strong enough I added some extra punctuation to get my point across. I have these two taped up in my own studio. I think we all need a little peace. and love! and let's not forget it.
