Inspiring me these days and nights:

An old friend visiting me with her son Ames (what a sweetie)
The final, final details of our new home coming to a close
Springtime shadows
Peanut butter cookies

Baker's Notes (a new publication from Scratch Baking Co.)
Going to Texas and seeing its beauty
Riding my new (loved and used) bike

May sort of rocked my world. I think I had one day off the entire month. It was hard and at the same time very invigorating. I wouldn't do it again though! Some of my favorite days were in the very end of the month when one of my oldest friends came for a visit. It's very hard for me to realize that I won't see my good friends as often as I once did. It's just not like it was when I was in my early 20's. But to have these moments where I get to know her new family and she gets to see what is going on in my world ... it's really special in a new way. In a way that I can feel more deeply. That's it! In May I was feeling things deeply. There it is. I will leave it at that. —MAV
