Hello & Welcome
The Card Society is dreamed up, letterpress printed, handled and shipped each month by me: Maria Alexandra Vettese. Simple things invigorate and inspire me: a nice stack of folded linens; the color of the ocean when it touches the sand; a good piece of crusty bread with fresh goat cheese. Each day I try to appreciate all of the little pleasures in life. I work out of a shared studio in Portland, Maine in the mediums of letterpress printing, art direction, styling and photography. I am very proud to say that everything that comes out of my studio touches my hands. I envision The Card Society staying just small enough so that I can continue to take the time to enjoy each unique piece that I produce and ship to my customers.
THE FINAL MONTHS
The Card Society will end with the December, 2011 shipment. Membership is no longer open. Thank you for your support and interest over the years.

A Little History
Port2port press gently opened its doors in the autumn of 2005 with the simple mission of letterpress printing one unique card every month in a petite (one-time-only) edition. Quickly adding letterpress printed card sets and custom stationery to its roster, port2port press enjoyed a few busy years of card-making, photograph & print-making and collaborating with incredible artists such as Natalie Tweedie, Lena Corwin, Camilla Engman and Elisabeth Dunker. Today port2port press proudly presents The Card Society as its sole letterpress project.
